ABOUT US

The Ankeny Community Chorus

was established in 2001 by founding

president Bill Konnath and music

director Steve Carstensen to establish

a choral group for the community. 

It has grown into a high-quality

choral group with several

performances each year.

Rehearsals are held every Thursday at 7:30 PM at the Ankeny Presbyterian Church. We operate as a non-profit chorus and are open to people willing to make a personal commitment to quality musicianship.

The Chorus is grateful for the ongoing support of Ankeny area residents, as well as its many business sponsors and patrons.

The 60 + members of the Ankeny Community Chorus, under the direction of Everett Reed and accompanied by Terry Waltersdorf, provide a number of concerts throughout the year.

On Friday, November 15th, the Ankeny Community Chorus presented our holiday concert at the Ankeny First United Methodist Church.

On Saturday, November 9th, the Ankeny Community Chorus was delighted to present a Veterans Day concert at the Gold Star Museum at Camp Dodge.
